ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION YET AMERICA?

Have you ever watched a situation unfold and thought to yourself, “This isn’t going to end well”?

Well that is how it has been for me and probably millions of others watching these “Occupy” protests. First let me be clear, these folks have the Constitutional Right to protest. And respecting the Free speech of offensive individuals is difficult, but we do it because we as American Patriots understand that we do not have any right guaranteed against being offended. Unlike some on the left, we do not want to suppress the voice of opposition.

Why is it that we do not fear our political opponents?

Because we know that in any debate on ideology we win. We can can bring example after example, fact after fact to substantiate our position. Whereas those on the Left can only submit excuses as to why the societies who have employed their ideologies have been abject failures; Nazi Socialism, Russian Communism, East Germany, North Korea, Cuba, and modern Socialist Europe on the brink of financial collapse.

This brings me back to the “Flea-Baggers” in the Occupy movement.

What we have on display is the two divergent political views battling for the heart of America. The differences are amazing and I think quite clear to anyone who has their heads out of the proverbial sand (or somewhere else).

When I spent my time and my money to march down Pennsylvania Avenue with hundreds of thousands of average Americans, I was called a racist for daring to have a difference of opinion with our first black President. My President called me and thousands of Grand parents who peacefully marched with me, a mob.

To use modern vernacular,… C’mon Dude, give me a break.

So, when citizens gather together, open with a prayer, march together with signs, sing Amazing Grace and listen to speeches,…we are a mob?  Just another example of why this President will fail, he doesn’t share the same values as the majority of Americans.

What are the two different views we see?

The Occupy movement views MORE government as the solution to just about every problem.

Whereas the Tea Party proposes that too much government IS the problem.

Allow me to summarize the Tea Party view; Go read the ideals espoused in our Charters of Freedom. Read the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, read the 1st ten amendments, known as the Bill of Rights.

These ”First Principles” laid the foundation for the reality that would become American exceptionalism.

In the 2nd paragraph of America’s birth certificate, better known as the Declaration of Independence it sums up the spirit of the Tea Party, “WE hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed…”

Notice that the Founding Fathers Capitalized specific words to emphasize their importance. Our Constitution is meant to shackle the government from over-reaching beyond its enumerated powers. Unfortunately, right under our noses generations of politicians have slowly shackled America with the burdens of the Entitlement State.

Politicians almost never the kind of individuals who admit failure, would predictably make claims of the inefficacy of the free market and/or our Republican form of government. Syncronized with cries for more government, more regulations, and more bureaucracies. Accompanying this expansion were the taxes to support the monstrosity known as the Federal Government. After a Century of Progressive policy the bureaucratic apparatus has its tentacles into virtually every aspect of our lives.

Now lets look at the facts about the other ideology vying for your support as manifested by Progressive politicians, entertainers and the Occupy protests.

Unlike the American Founders who took the best from past civilizations and did the best with a bad situation(the slavery issue) gave new life to Liberty in the Americas. The heretical ideologies promoted within the Occupy movement are European in origin. While not everything from Europe is bad, Politically speaking there are reasons millions have escaped the ever-present turmoil across the pond to come to the Land of Opportunity. Which reminds me of another point of comparison, we see signs stating “Right to a job”, Uh,…NO!, you have the right to pursue Happiness, there are no guarantees in this life. You have the “opportunity” to chase your dreams, and that is better than you’ll get anywhere else in the world.

Concerning jobs and achieving dreams, our President, instead of helping the businesses who hire people, his solution is to effectively go to war against our business sector, demonizing them at almost every opportunity. His other brilliant ideas have been no more than offering the American People warmed up week old leftovers. His stimulus? spend your money, General Motors in trouble? spend your money, and his latest “jobs bill”? spend your money. Folks this guy doesn’t have a clue!

President Obama is a supporter of the Occupiers, stating, “We are on their side”, and the former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi added her opinion of the protests, “its going to be effective”

Who else supports the Flea-Baggers? a Communist Party of America leader at the one of the protests told the crowd, “Greetings and solidarity from the Communist Party, we are here working side by side”. The Nazi Party and Socialist Party have both encouraged their members to join the Occupy protests.

Some will say that I’m merely picking out a few extremists in the crowd, well ok,…how about the facts on the ground?

musicians from a stage sing to the crowd a song with the lyrics “F*ck the U.S.A”, protestors walk on American flags laid on the ground, countless clashes with the police, protestors defecating on police vehicles, multiple sexual assaults in different cities across the country and buildings set on fire. I really don’t think there is any mystery why there have been over 3,000 arrests nationwide.

I’ve never heard of one arrest at any Tea Party event…Just stating a fact.

What do the signs tell us about the Occupiers?

“Eat the Rich”,  ”Death to Capitalism”, and oh yea, “Right to a job”

Finally, the inspiration for the Occupy movement are the riots in the Middle East,… you know, the ones that toppled those governments and are ushering in a new era of freedom?,…Uh No! Last I heard those uprisings were ushering in a new era of Islamic fundamentalism with Sharia Law at its core.

Well, I’ll let you make up your own mind, but I sure hope my friends and neighbors are starting to notice that the world is on the verge of burning around them.

Eat the Rich?  No thank You, I think I’d rather eat a steak.

WE MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT

Have you ever seen two folks debate a topic and one keeps getting angrier while the other remains calm?

The person losing the debate knows they are losing, so they resort to name calling, while the individual who has the stronger argument remains composed. Anyone who has ever witnessed or been involved in such a moment, knows when they’ve lost.

It begins when they resort to shouting down the opponent and name calling in the attempt to regain control.

It appears that is what is going on in D.C.

Think about it, the American People gave a clear message in November 2010 that business as usual is no longer acceptable, and yet when members of the Tea Party Caucus stand their ground against the Republican and Democrat establishment then the name calling begins.

We have our Re-distributor-in-Chief, Barry Obama beating our heads against the wall with his class warfare routine, and we hear everyone from Joe Biden to John McCain calling the Tea Party “Terrorists” and “Hobbits”.

I submit this as evidence that WE ARE WINNING!

Listen folks, with every political skirmish, we force the President and all the other frauds in Washington to engage us in public debate. This is important because the whole world is watching and is witness to their true colors.

The problem for President Obama being the most liberal Chief Executive in American History is that the far left has unrealistic expectations of him, thus they are becoming increasingly disillusioned.

The problem with the President being a Socialist, is that the Presidency is supposed to represent the nation as a whole. Unfortunately for him, his vision for America doesn’t match what the vast majority of citizens desire for their country.

Most of the country sees him as weak, indecisive and ineffective, but for different reasons. The Left, because he doesn’t shred the Constitution enough for them, the Independents because they just want jobs and a better economy and People like me, …well, cause I knew it all along.

It doesn’t take a genius to see that this guy’s agenda is cancerous to an ailing economy. The fact is he simply doesn’t know what to do and we are all paying the price.

While we didn’t win in the debt deal and we are nowhere near our goal of saving our nation, We the People made a difference, we have changed the debate in Washington. I think Representative Allen West brings some perspective to the situation when he said “it takes five miles to turn an aircraft carrier”, essentially saying that we have only begun to change the perilous course of our country, and that it will take more than this moment to steer clear of the dangers.

Friends, the debt debate was a major fire fight in the midst of a much larger battle, but it is not the entire war. Be honest, did you really believe that those few Freshman Legislators that were dropped into D.C. like paratroopers by a frustrated electorate last November would be able to stop all the shenanigans?

Do I wish the Tea Party Caucus would’ve held their ground longer? Yes, but they circled the wagons, voted No on principle and will be ready for the budget fight this Fall.

The truth is, the government gets to spend now and cut later, and we all know how that will end. The political Dog and Pony show in the form of the Debt Super Committee will allow the politicians to act as if they are doing something, but is merely evidence those inside the Beltway still think us Commoners are too stupid to figure out their games.

The members of the Tea Party aren’t stupid and neither are the millions of regular citizens who are counting the days until the 2012 elections.

Elections have consequences and lets hope the cumulative effect of 2010 and 2012 will put many Republican and Democrat Progressives on the Unemployment line.

America’s Choice

Choices, choices, choices…what to do?

Think about it for a moment, we all make choices everyday, some turn out good and some not so good. One thing is certain, the better we are at making wise choices the better our chances of a quality life.

It is no different with choosing our elected officials, those who will cast the votes, and in doing so set the course for the next generation. Within the next year and half every American, even those who choose not to vote will make a choice and those millions of individual decisions will determine our future.

Those decisions culminating in the results of the 2012 election will speak volumes about who we are as a nation.

Today in my opinion we have the disastrous effects of an amateur in the White House who surrounded himself with other amateurs. To make the situation worse our President is an elitist who sees no problem with cracking jokes about his failed economic plan while the citizens suffer and the economy languishes.

President Obama, the closest thing we’ve had to a King since FDR, has no foreign policy and except for the Bin Laden moment, he usually manages from a position of weakness. It is quite apparent that this man has never been a leader and is devoid of the ability to admit fault and change course. In the sports world they call individuals like this “Un-coachable”, these types know more than anyone around them and their pride becomes a stumbling block.

His actions prove two things:

1) Yes, he inherited a recession, but his Keynesian economic philosophy, like that of FDR have made things worse. In reality President Obama doesn’t have the solutions to the problems we face.

2) I don’t believe he really cares about regular folks. He is an ideologue who will allow the people to suffer with high gasoline prices and inflated food costs in the midst of the Obama-Depression in order to achieve his agenda.

Just look around, the Federal government tells us what light bulb we can use, the amount of water that can flow from our shower heads and toilets and now they want to put “Smart meters” in our homes so they can shut off our air conditioning during the hottest part of the day.

What a blessing they feel they are to us lowly serfs of America.

Here is a memo to our Socialist President and his Progressive friends – We are not Europe, We are not Russia, We are not Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico or the Middle East.

This is America.

This is where millions upon millions have risk their lives to escape those places. Our nation was born from the ideals of human Liberty, the philosophy of limited government, where power was checked and de-centralized.

America was to be a safe haven for people of faith and even those without a religious affiliation. A place where citizens would be free to pursue their dreams and be free from government interference.

It probably shouldn’t surprise me considering Barack H. Obama was elected, but I’ve had a few times over the last two years when I have been taken aback by the depth of ignorance of the dangers we face.

One person said, “I’m a little Socialist” and another individual said “If Socialism is what it takes to get this country back on its feet, then maybe that is what we need to do.”

I wanted to say “forgive them Father for they Know not what they say”

Folks, we must be ready to remind any of these people of a few facts.

Remember the old U.S.S.R.? That stood for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the word Socialist in the title, but there is more than meets the eye. Did you know that a “Soviet” was a Union that controlled a city and could give orders to the workers in that Soviet to strike or not, so they held the reins of economic as well as political power. So the U.S.S.R. was a union of Unions who had far too much power and wanted government control over the economy. I know some of you are thinking to yourselves, I thought they were Communist?

Communist philosophy is predicated on Socialism incrementally breaking down a capitalist system, even by violence if necessary and then it will peacefully transform fully to a Communist Utopia.

Another easy example is the Nazi Party, aka the National Socialist German Workers Party. An important lesson is that what are really talking about is the centralization of power in the hands of a few. The Soviets used a leftist program to consolidate power, while the Nazis used Fascism, which isn’t right wing, it is merely using nationalism or other rallying cry to convince the people to relinquish freedom for security.

It doesn’t matter if it is Russia, China, Nazi Germany, Cuba, North Korea, or Venezuela.

All tyrants want control and the result is that freedom must be surrendered. Over 100 million people have lost their lives due to this cancerous ideology.

In America this philosophy is given positive sounding monikers such as Progressivism or Liberalism because Socialism and Communism has been tainted.

So, who does this appeal to and why?

1) Limousine Liberals – The super rich who wouldn’t dare have their invitations to the best parties revoked by thinking for themselves. Lets be honest, these folks are so rich that they can afford to live in a fantasy world and never feel the effects.

2) Academics – I’m strictly speaking of those who have believed every word their leftist Professors spoke and gave independent thought only lip service. Their jobs depend on them creating new ideas for everyone else to try, problem is there aren’t that many Einsteins walking around the campus.

3) Unions – I don’t dislike unions because I believe it is good for workers to band together, but unions have become infested with closet Communists and organized crime puppets who have sought to manipulate their membership and have created a corrupt political machine in the process.

4) Other groups who are drawn to Progressive propaganda are the poor because when you are struggling and hungry you are easily victimized by con-men. The ill-informed, basically just regular folks who are simply ignorant and fall prey to lie in order to gain power. In addition we see the lazy and leach types who are just fine getting a subsistence paycheck from the government as long as they have cable t.v. and don’t need to work they are happy.

5) The final group that loves Progressivism are Tyrants, but they come in all shapes and sizes, and they will get away with as much as they are allowed. Sometimes they are Joseph Stalin and other times they appear like Barack Obama. One serves Marxism with a fist and another serves Marxism with a smile.

Who are the types of individuals who are drawn to a Free Republic?

1) Innovators/Entrepreneurs – They want to be left alone to make money and live their dreams.

2) Veterans – Maybe the only group of people in government service who understand the sacrifice it takes to truly “support and defend the Constitution”

3) Free and Independent thinkers – Again, the kind of individuals who aren’t prone to be followers and don’t believe everything they hear. These people tend to make decisions based on reality not emotion.

4) Small Business Owners – It is simple, the more government intervention in the form of regulations, taxes, fees and assorted red tape means that it is harder for this group which creates 70% of all new jobs to grow. No growth equals an anemic economy.

5) How about Craftsmen, you know those folks who rely on someone with a little extra money to spend it on new wood floors or to construct an addition to a home. This keeps them in business and their bills paid. This hard-working group understands that someone with a good job isn’t evil, but a blessing.

Another lesson I’ve learned is that we shouldn’t attempt nation building. We cannot fabricate democracy or liberty. A people must understand what human liberty is and be willing to stand up themselves. It is impossible for our precious servicemen and women to shed their blood and miraculously for freedom to sprout in a new land.

Concerning choices, a point of warning as we enter the Presidential primary season, beware of “Rinos” (Republicans in name only). They are the establishment country club Republicans. They represent status quo do-nothingness and are only interested in empowering themselves and their friends. Rinos would sell the last inch of liberty for a buck and are only interested in misusing government to force their agenda on the public, the same as Liberals would.

Which brings us to the real Patriots those individuals in the Tea Party movement – We are advocates for Liberty and continue the fight to dismantle the Leviathan we call government. The solution to taming the monster is to quite feeding it, find the un-Constitutional bureaucracies and eliminate them. Any power not specifically granted to the Federal branch should be returned to the States or private industry to perform. Fewer bureaucracies means fewer bills to pay and less taxes are a direct result.

I can only speak for myself, but like Martin Luther King Jr., I too have a dream. I dream of an America where someone can be free to be the next Sam Walton, Tony Hawk, or Danica Patrick. An America, where no matter if a child’s dream is to be a businessman, a professional skateboarder or race car driver, they are free to compete without government picking winners and losers or getting in their way. I dream of an America, where citizens are free to drink what they wish, smoke what they please, pray how they want and for public servants to know their place.

Our choice?

Every American must search their soul – What kind of  America do you want?
